چکیده
We derived high-precision reference profiles of the Mg ii h and k lines that represent quiet Sun during a minimum solar activity. To do so, we used broad catalog full-Sun mosaics obtained by Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). minimize influence local variations due to on-disk features achieve low levels uncertainties, 12 IRIS without sunspots or other significant signs These were between 2019 April 2020 September in near-ultraviolet spectral range. In this paper, present disk-averaged lines, together with series spanning distance disk center limb. offer detailed representation center-to-limb variation both lines. The line provided paper can be as incident radiation boundary condition for radiative-transfer modeling prominences, spicules, coronal chromospheric structures.

0 Interpreting the Mg II h and k Line Profiles of Mira Variables
We use radiative transfer calculations to reproduce the basic appearance of Mg II lines observed from Mira variables. These lines have centroids that are blueshifted by at least 30 km s −1 from the stellar rest frame. It is unlikely that flow velocities in the stellar atmospheres are this fast, so radiative transfer effects must be responsible for this behavior. Published hydrodynamic models pr...
متن کاملCenter-to-Limb Variation of Solar Line Profiles as a Test of NLTE Line Formation Calculations
We present new observations of the center-to-limb variation of spectral lines in the quiet Sun. Our long-slit spectra are corrected for scattered light, which amounts to 4–8 % of the continuum intensity, by comparison with a Fourier transform spectrum of the disk center. Different spectral lines exhibit different behaviors, depending on their sensitivity to the physical conditions in the photos...
متن کاملCenter - to - limb variation of the enigmatic Na I D 1 and D 2 polarization profiles
The remarkable polarization structure of the Na i D 1 and D 2 lines that is due to coherent scattering has remained an enigma, since it has not yet been possible to find an explanation that is consistent with both current understanding of quantum mechanics and the astrophysical properties of the Sun's atmosphere. To guide future theoretical efforts we have here explored the detailed center-to-l...
متن کاملHydrogen Lyman−α and Lyman−β spectral radiance profiles in the quiet Sun
Aims. We extend earlier work by studying in the quiet Sun the line profiles of the hydrogen Lyman-α and Lyman-β lines, which were obtained quasi-simultaneously in a raster scan with a size of about 150 × 120 near disk center. Methods. The self-reversal depths of the Ly−α and Ly−β profiles are quantified by measuring the maximum spectral radiances of the two horns and the minimum spectral radian...
متن کاملQuiet Sun Brightenings -cell and Network Behaviour
Observations of the quiet Sun are made with the Coronal Diagnostic Spectrometer on board the SOHO spacecraft. We have investigated the diierences in characteristics of the cell and network regions. It has been found that the powerlaw distribution of energy (f(E) = f o E ?) is diierent in the cell and network regions, with the cell region having higher values of. This result is found irrespectiv...
